Mid-Century Modern Freak

Atomic. Futurist. Populuxe. Googie. Modernist. Vintage Pop Culture.

QUAD ESL 57 Electrostatic Panel Speaker, nick-named “The Little Wonder Walker”, was introduced in 1955 by Peter James Walker, founder of The Acoustical Manufacturing Co.
After a series of articles published in 1999, highlighting the really big events occurring during the development of the audio, Hi-Fi News Magazine has made ESL-57 "The biggest Hi-Fi product in history.”
