Pierre Cardin’s ‘Palace of Bubbles’
In 1975, clothing kingpin Pierre Cardin built his Le Palais Bulles (the Bubble House) with architect Antti Lovag in France. Cardin designed all the furnishings in the 13,000 sq. ft. 28-room home. It is located near Cannes, in the town of Théoule-sur-Mer with a stunning view of the Mediterranean Sea and the red cliffs of the Esterel.
The Bubble House also includes a 500-seat amphitheater, reception room, panoramic lounge, and 10 suites. Everything in the home is round. Each of the bedrooms was designed by a different contemporary artist, including Patrice Breteau, Jerome Tisserand Daniel You, François Chauvin, Gerard Cloarec, etc.
